ABA Therapy

ZAM Caring Center utilizes the principles of ABA Therapy to increase desired behaviors and eliminate unwanted behaviors. Common goals for ABA Therapy include the increase of adaptive skills, such as communication, social interaction, self-care activities (e.g., dressing, feeding, toileting), play, and motor skills and the decrease of maladaptive behaviors, such as aggression toward others, self-injury, and other unsafe behaviors.

Speech Therapy

Our Speech Language Experts work with your family and child to identify communications goals and provide treatment based on each child’s need.Speech therapy assesses and treats speech disorders and communication problems. It helps people develop skills like comprehension, clarity, voice, fluency and sound production. Speech therapy can treat childhood speech disorders or adult speech impairments caused by stroke, brain injury or other conditions.

Functional Behaviour Assessments

A functional assessment is an approach to figuring out why your child is engaging in certain behaviors that may be interfering with his/her daily life including aggressions, self-injurious behaviors or stereotypy.

Children who receive early, intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) have demonstrated positive improvements in their development. Areas of improvement typically include communication, socialization, following instructions, and daily living skills.
